Question mark & blue boxes instead of photos (4 posts)

After doing a restore on my blog from my host (Bluehost), all of the pictures have been replaced with a blue box with a question mark inside. The only photos that were visible were the ones that I've uploaded since moving to that particular host. If you hover over the blue boxes, you can see the file name for the particular missing picture.

I've spent several hours re-uploading photos, but I still have years of blogging left to fix. Are there any ways to fix this issue, other than re-uploading every photo I've posted? Here's a link to a page that I haven't fixed yet: http://cadryskitchen.com/2011/10/06/cooking-with-viva-vegan-chipotle-chorizo-and-stuffed-plantains/

    Howdy,

Where did the restore end up at on your site?
This might just be an issue of moving some files using your cPanel file manager.

Bluehost did the restore on their end. How would I locate it?

When they did the restore, did they send you an email saying it was restored? If they did (they should have, but who knows...) the email would likely tell you where the restore was placed.

You might also know... you can log in to your Bluehost cPanel and use the File Manager to see where all your files are at. This can sometimes be easier than using FTP.

Often, a restore would be placed in 1 of 2 places:
    1. In your main directory (that is, not buried in any folders.)
    2. In your public_html directory
    3. In your public_html directory inside another directory that is specified for your domain. (such as public_html/cadryskitchen.com/)

    Hope this helps a little,
    Paul
