I have small summaries of posts on my homepage. If I want people to be able to view all the articles rather than one at a time, what page would I link them to – archive.php?
For example, we’ll have brief excerpts of posts from one category only. Should I just link to ‘/category/news-and-events’? This would bring them to the archive.php page correct?

  • Depends what templates you have…

category view will go to category.php if present, or archive.php. It’s important to know the template heirarchy to know for certain.

And that will get the full posts, or the summaries depending how the template is configured.

If things don’t work as planned, you can always use a page template querying your required posts. Then you can make a page and assign it the template. then the url would be domain.com/page
