    Hi fabulous helpful people,

I am pretty new to WordPress and I like it so far. I know it is good for SEO concerns, especially when you add SEO widget tools which I will do. But I am wondering if that SEO stuff is affected negatively if I install my wp to a folder instead of directly to the open domain. Meaning - if I use other web building software to make other pages including my index page and I have wordpress installed to a wp folder, will I still get the full SEO benefits of WordPress? Does anyone know? I realize I could have my WP installed without a folder and use WP to create a static opening page for the site rather than do it the way I just mentioned. But part of me wants to use other software for some of my site.

Thank you for any help you can lend. Have a great week. :)

Based on my experience, no, it will not affect SEO. Just make sure your main script at the root also has a good SEO.
