I have images that are 640 x 250 in my feature slider content. they are loading around 1300-1600 ms. If i specify the images in css, will that make them load faster? is reducing the images size the only way to reduce the load time?

How large are the images in bytes? The size in bytes determines the load time so you may be able to make the images smaller in size by changing their resolution. For me, a good size is about 200K bytes.

I think beside one, all of them are no larger than 24 kb. I made really small through photoshop. 640 x 250 is only 24kb
