Question about home page!

Hey, I just uploaded wordpres. I am wanting to build a site out of it for racing. I have a home icon at the top but the only way to add stuff to the page is to post a “post”. All i want to do is add a page and name it home and have it linked to my homepage. I don’t know how to get rid of the home link at the top. I went to add a new page and called it “Home” and then went into setting to set it up so that page is showed when people go to my homepage but now I got two “Home” links at the top and I only created one. It seems to me it defaults one. I can’t fiqure out how to get rid of it. Any help on getting rid of it would be very helpful.
