• Sort of doing a reality check for myself:

Can BLC be used to check custom fields used by other plugins i.e. WordPress SEO (Yoast) or 404 Redirected (Weberz).

If I am understanding some of the ways parts of these plugins work, they use custom fields to provide redirection functionality, and as far as I can tell it is serialized data.

Also as I understand it (there is a lot of it I DON’T understand ;), the serialized data is sort of locked away, manipulating those options even as much as changing the length(s) of the options field(s) without first unserializing that data can cause huge problems (this I DO know 😉

Wonder if the author or anyone else has any input or ideas about any of this?

My site is about 10 years old, it has been moved around on several domains, using different site solutions (started on phpnuke, was joomla a while, has been and plan to keep it on WordPress for the foreseeable future…), different permalink structures… over the years and I continue to change things around, i.e. consolidating / redirecting content, changing posts to pages and vice versa, so at this point I have a formidable task keeping all the redirects and 404’s in good working order.

    Thanks for any authoritative followup.
