• Because qTranslate no longer be updated, I stepped over to zTranslate.

In the newsletter settings is now “No multilanguage plugin is enabled”

is there a way to fix this?

I also can not look into my sent newsletters these are made in two languages with qTranslate.

    Thanks

Hi Gunu, I’ve just wrote this code to integrate the 2 plugins:
    https://gist.github.com/groucho75/d6b41a0657646c3e79bb

Download the file and put it in /wp-content/mu-plugins.
    I cannot test it a lot…
Can you try it and give us a feedback?

    Hello Alessandro,

In settings the language versions are detected!
On the registration page, the different languages are also shown!
Subscription mails also come in different languages!

But in making the newsletter I can not make it in the different languages.
So I have to create a separate newsletter for each language and Filter subscribers according to languages…

    So far…. almost good!

    Thank You!

    Oops. problem

I can no longer look in the old newsletters, but I can also not make a new one.
If I save it, the screen goes blank, and says enter title here.

The draft is in the list but is empty.

    More testing.

When I turn “Publish newsletters online” to Yes then the old newsletters are visible and it is also possible to create new newsletters in more languages.

However, when sending I do get the right subject (different languages) in the mail but the content is all in the default language.

Turn “Publish newsletters online” to No then it stops working and all newsletters are empty.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Gunu, I upgraded the code (the same gist link above), now it should work also with another qtranslate fork: qTranslate Plus.
I released a new 2.5.03 with a new hook for multilingual functions.
I’m sorry, I didn’t make more tests to check your remarks… please be patient…

    Hello Alessandro,

    Thanks!

    tested so far again:

When I turn “Publish newsletters online” to Yes then it is possible to create new newsletters in more languages. With turn to No not.

However, when sending I do get the right subject in different languages in the mail but the content is in the default language.

But, very strange, when I use the tag [USER-UNSUBSCRIBE] Text and URL to unsubscribe are in the different languages but not the main content (?)

    Hello Alessandro,

    another test:

The default site language is English. I made now only a newsletter in Dutch. I chose for All subscribers and Filter subscribers according to languages… In this case, only Dutch.

It was sent to the Dutch subscriber only.

So far so good but in the newesletter there was:

“Sorry, this entry is only available in Nederlands.”

I hope this helps – need login to my test site? Send me your mail address

    Another strange effect.

I must set Publish newsletters online to Yes otherwise I can not make multilingual newsletters.

The transmitted newsletters contain only the default language but when I view the newsletters online then I can see them in the different languages….

    Hello Alessandro,

    Some progress with this?

    Best,

    Alessandro,

In the zTranslate integration section of the qtranslate_forks.php there are some lines with – ztrans – and with – zqtrans –
I have changed this in – ztrans – and now I get the newsletters in the appropriate language 🙂
    It is a further step..

But still I must turn “Publish newsletters online” to Yes to create new newsletters in more languages. With turn to No then it will not.

    Further, the Placeholder – [SITE-DESCRIPTION] – gives:
    [:nl]Dutch[:de]Deutsch[:en]English

    I hope this helps.

    another update:

I’ve also tested with qTranslate plus, here everything is working properly!

“Publish newsletters online” to Yes or No will create new newsletters in more languages.

But also here the Placeholder – [SITE-DESCRIPTION] – gives:
    [:nl]Dutch[:de]Deutsch[:en]English

    Hello Alessandro,

This is hopefully a good development, one translation plugin that can replace/merge all other versions.

    Please look here: qtranslate-x
