qTranslate – Template content not working

this does not work for me! Or rather it only partially works. If you visit: http://72.52.247.224/cortesdecima/ and you’ll see the text I added to the top of index.php does not come out right, but if you click the Portuguese flag it works perfect! So the English, does not work, but the Portuguese does.

Thoughts? The authors FAQ page says to email him bugs, but I’m getting no response. Anyone else use this plugin and have similar issues?
