    Hi Richie,

I really like this theme and thinking of using it for a social network community site using buddypress. Btw, is this theme build on twitter bootstrap and html5?

Is it possible to set the homepage of this theme to a simple page without too much content or without too many columns etc.

For example can I just have simplicity like facebook.com homepage or http://themetastic.com/buddypress/?wptheme=BuddyPress%20Social where I just have:

    1. the registration or login area for members
    2. Display logo
    3. Display my jumbo headline and message very boldly such as this this theme http://wordpress.org/themes/ward
    4. Display just few other really popping sections on homepage like http://wordpress.org/themes/ward
    5. Add a slider to show either photos or video on the homepage for our own message or for our partner messages.

Please advise if I can set the homepage as above without placing too much content or posts on the homepage.

    Thank you very much.

  • I’m not sure if this would do everything you need, but if you go to appearance –> customize –> static front page, you can set your home page to any static page you create, and you can modify that page to include/exclude things you need.

the theme wasn’t built to have a intro page like the ward theme. its more of blog/magazine. would suggest using ‘full width’ page template and set as static page like almaxaqweb suggested.

and use shortcode to built your page with slider and content etc.

I will try to create a simple page as per your guidance.
I just need a place for the message/intro, slider, register/login section, and a section in the bottom for some links or message.

    Thank you Richie and almaxaweb.
