I'm still getting several attempts at spamming and I don't know how they are managing it.

Their posts never get through as they are held in the mod Q so it's not a problem, just an annoyance.

I am running Aksimet, Stop Spammer Registration, TTC Stop Bot Registration, reCaptcha and WP Ban.
Users must be logged in to comment and they must fill in their email address.

All the attempts are on the same page which indicates a bot but all are from different IP addresses.

    How do they get through??

If users must be logged in, are the accounts being created?

    No

All user accounts have to be admin approved.

Should have said, the posters are not filling in an email address either.

Install Cookies for Comments. I suspect they're hitting the page directly, though really that shouldn't work if you have it set to logged in users only.

Are you sure these aren't ping backs?

Cookies for Comments is installed. This is an example of what I am finding....

Just installed a trackback validation plugin. We'll see if that stops 'em

Ah, those are pingbacks (trackbacks, whatever) :) NOT comments.

Once you mentioned it out I could see that. Sometimes I need the obvious pointed out to me.

Thanks Ipstenu, the validation plugin seems to have done the trick.
