    Hi -

I love the look of the system. I've searched everywhere, and can't find an answer to this:

I have a static index page - WP is being integrated as part of a much bigger site.

I want to put the title and excerpts of the last 5 entries on the static page. what code do i need to input?

Also, is there a way to integrate the blog with the look and feel of my site, or does it have to be set up with a theme?

I know these may be simple questions, but I'm under the gun to get this site finished.

    Thanks.

I don't think I made my questions very clear, so I'll try again:

I have to figure out how to do 2 things:

    1. Customize the blog page (currently at http://www.thelacrossejournal.com/blog) so it looks like the rest of the site (ideally, just include the main code for blog entries, etc. into a regular html page)...

    and

    2. put something on my main index page that includes an excerpt from the most recent entry or something like that.

(to give you an idea what I'm talking about: http://www.thelacrossejournal.com/indexnew.html. on the bottom right there's space for the blog. I want that space to include part of the most recent entry or the most recent 5 with an excerpt or something similar, and a link to the /blog page.)

If anyone can help, I need to get this done ASAP.

    Thanks,

    me
