putting in link to another post creates a 'comment'? (2 posts)

So I will try to articulate this as best I can.

I had a post (lets call it Post A) made a week ago. I made a new post this morning (Post B) which in essence was an update to the same topic.

I edited Post A putting in something like "Update now available here - Post B" where Post B was a link to the new post. Now when I view Post B it says I have 1 comment which is the text "Update now available here - Post B" ???

Is there any way I can link between posts without them appearing as comments or am I breaking blog etiquette by doing this?

    Feedback appreciated

you can get rid of the comment bit youre talking about, yes -- use the relative url -- i believe that works OR disable internal trackbacks. there is a plugin for that.

the other 1/2 -- updating post A, after you create that link.. I havent seen that done yet in a plugin.
