Hello
I've searched for a thread that already talk about this, but none of them highlight how to get posts up on a static page with full content. I've already used the [get_posts] html, but all it shows is links. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can consistently show my 5 most recent posts with full content on my static homepage? I'm very new to web design, and am really struggling.
Thanks

Thank you for the support. I tried entering this data into my home page html, and it just showed up with the code and not the actual full content 5 most recent posts. any suggestions? I'm totally new to wordpress so I really would appreciate if someone would help me out step by step
That page offers example code - not a copy'n'paste code block for your needs. You have to create the code that you need but you could start by ensuring that all of your code is inside opening <?php and closing ?> tags.

Esmi, I'm sure you are extremely brilliant at web design, but please, think as if you are explaing this to a 8 year old kid. I don't know how to write code, and I'm sure I never will. The link you sent me wasn't helpful. Please, just tell me how I can get my 5 most recent posts with full content (not just the title) ordered by date on my static home page, using the [get_posts] plugin.
Thank you
