Hello everyone,
I run my own personal blog where, some time ago, I upload an .xslx file for a mahjong post I wrote. Recently, I discovered an error in some of the equations, so I deleted the old file and uploaded the updated on (with the same file name).
However, when I click the URL for the download location, it still downloads the old, incorrect version (which was still downloadable even after being deleted from the FTP). When I download directly from FTP, it's the correct version.
I tried searching around on Google and on this forum, and most seem to suggest that it is because of either a Google cache of the old file or because of an object cache in WordPress.
With the updated .xslx file, I also overwrote an image in the same post (a .png with the same file name as the previous .png that I deleted). The new image is showing without fail, but the .xslx file is screwy.
Any ideas of why this may be and what I can do to purge the cache or otherwise resolve the issue?
