[resolved] Pure CSS drop down menu help? (6 posts)

    Hey everyone,

I am racking my little brain to figure this out, so I thought maybe I'd ask here in case anyone had any ideas.

I am trying to have menus that LOOK like this: http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic/horizontal03.htm

(with the bg colour stretching across the page/layer)

but that FUNCTION like this: http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic2/horizontal04.htm

    (pure CSS drop down menus)

Because Example #2 is floated, I can't extend the background, and all of the tweaking I tried kept the drop down menus from being clickable.

If anyone has any ideas, they'd be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    joi.

    hey atomique,
    looks excellent.
But: would you be so kind and share with us the code you added to your theme to get the thing working?
i guess you fiddled with the wp_list_pages() command. that's what i want to see :D

    thanks!

Let me update my own post :)
The problem with getting stu nicholl's CSS DropDown Solution to work properly with WordPress is the lack of support for IE6. There are some special codes that are required for IE6 to display properly, which is not possible with the wp_list_pages() function.

So, anyone got a neat solution?
