    Hi,

Can anyone help me with this issue I'm having? I just posted a pic with some text at bottom and published it but I don't see the post published on the sites main page. I only see it in the categories. Never had this problem before with WP. Any suggestions on what I'm doing or a setting has been messed with? that I need to know and change back. Please advise.

    Thank you
    Bergy

do you see your posts in the admin panel?

If you do, click to edit one of them and see what error message (if any) do you see?

    Hi t-p

I do see the post in admin panel and I dont see any errors. I also noticed my archives have stopped at October 2010. November 2010 is not showing up.

It's a adult blog and I'm not sure if I can post the url here for you to see it.

But by this info I hope you can help me out on what has happened and why the post does not publish.

    Thanks
    Bergy

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Hi Esmi,

When I preview it on twenty ten it seems to be working fine. I see the post the Nov. archive. I don't know what happened with my custom theme. I added meta robots plug in recently and I think thats what caused this problem.

Try deactivating all plugins and switching back to your custom theme. If everything works fine, then you've narrowed it down to a plugin problem.

    Esmi,

That did not work either. I have 4 posts ahead of the current post. But it seems like its stuck on that last post "normy's hairy pussy" which was made on Oct 7th. This is an adult blog so it is your choice if you want to click on the link to view it.
I made a test post titled "test post" which I see it in the admin area but for some reason it is NOT showing up on the site.

Are they all under the same category? Or do you have multiple categories?

for some reason I see latest post on firefox browser but I dont see it on IE. The lastest post I see on IE8 is the Oct 7th. post.

This is really driving me nuts. as I ran out of ideas on what it could be.

Any way of completely deleting this blog from my server and reinstalling a fresh one without losing any data/archives?

    Thanks for your help Tom.

Is the post not showing up in a different category than the rest? I was thinking maybe a category of yours got left out of the posts loop.

What category is it post not showing up in?

Wow. I just noticed. Any category I click on from the main page it goes to... Not Found
Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here.

Did you try clearing super cache??

Reuben. I have cleared the cache from both of my browsers I use. FF and IE8. What's super cache?

Tom. For example on IE8 The category link is like this http://www.hairywomanhairypussy.com/category/hairy-amateurs/ which I click and it does go to that category with the post and pics on it.

On FF this is how the link looks http://www.hairywomanhairypussy.com/hairy-amateurs/ (the /category is missing)

And for some reason whatever I do from the admin area it seems like there's a delay on it.

Super cache is a plugin. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/

Go to Settings->Wp Super Cache->click on Tester & Contents and click the "Delete cache" button.

http://www.hairywomanhairypussy.com/hairy-amateurs/ is that how it suppose to be?

    Thank you

Now I see a warning in the super cache page...

/home/bknfcom/domains/hairywomanhairypussy.com/ is writable. Please make it readonly after your page is generated as this is a security risk.

how do I make it readonly?

Your category page url depends on permalink settings. Try to update permalink settings and see if all the links are ok.

You can do it through CPanel, ask your hosting support for detailed instructions.

    Reuben,

If I want to make the category links like this... http://example.com/category/post-name/ what do I need to do in the permalinks page in order to get it that way?

    Thanks

Argh. I just did a new test post but its not on the site. It has to be some settings on super cache plug in. but for the life of me I can not figure it out.

Could it also be a .htaccess issue?

It's an awesome plugin but you just gotta know how to use it. Always clear the cache after publishing a new post, I guess there is a setting for that but I don't remember where.

Meaning always delete cache after publishing new post?

ok. This is checked... Clear all cache files when a post or page is published. so I assume every post I make the cache is cleared?
