Publish removes hidden field value from email code

When I paste the autoresponder code into the squeeze page, it correctly shows the Referrer field as:
<input type=’hidden’ name=’field[13]’ value=’Name of Referrer Here’>
When I publish the page it removes the value and corrupts as
<input type=’hidden’ name=’field[13]’ value=”>
This results as a blank next to referrer after the post is posted
I can send you the entire autoresponder code, if that helps.
Technical have independently tested the code and it works for them
It therefore looks like a plugin error. Please advise. Thank you. Denis
