[resolved] Publish pane frozen after upgrading to WP3.1.2 (7 posts)

After I upgraded two of my blogs to WP3.1.2, I found out that it freezes the Publish pane. I can publish and move posts to Trash, but not place them back to Draft or make them Private. I'm also not able to attach media (photos) to a post. It occurs at both blogs, they use different themes.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thank you so much for the information. I'll try it and see if this solves the problem.

The plugin Social Discussions caused it, in my case.

I have a similar problem of Amalphi but just about media (photos). After installed the new version wp3.1.2, all the pictures I published after the wp3.1.1 version are disappeared and I can not publish any kind of media at the moment. The funny thing is that the photos i published before the 3.1.1 version are still there and I can do whatever I want with them.

I tried the three solutions wrote above, but no way, I can't still manage any kind of media.

    anybody knows a possible solution?

had a similar thing, apparently i had run out of disk space for my hosting account. Had to upgrade space and start over.

@oskyboy: did you make a backup of your installation and database before you upgraded to WP 3.2.1? I've tested a theme, upgraded to WP3.1.2 and after that, the dashboard was "broken". I switched to the Twenty Ten theme and some other themes, but it didn't solve the problem. I guess an upgrade can also overwrite or conflict with a part of the existing code. I hope you made a backup and are able to rollback or do a clean install.
