Folks, I am troubled with my publisher button not opening up. I have ised it plenty and now I cannot set any dates to publish...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you describe exactly what you mean by "cannot set any dates"?
Note that the publixh button appeares ONLY on new posts, otherwise it is "update post" - and the date reads "change"
If you can not ACCESS the date function (not opening)
1. try to see if maybe javasscript is disabled on your browser.
2. if you are using IE, try to access it with firefox.
3. disable all plugins and try.
5. check your screen options (a tab at the top)
6. verify the WP installation integrity (especailly the JS files)
