Support » Plugin: Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth » Publicize is using main blog's Facebook connection on all Multisite blogs

  • I’d like each blog in a multisite network to be able to publish content to that blog’s author’s social networks. I set up a test blog on the network and made a test account for connecting it with wordpress.com. However, when I go into the “Sharing” settings and look at the connections, it is showing up as already connected to my Facebook account which I set up for the main network site.

I obviously wouldn’t want every member blog author to be able to publish to the main site’s social network pages… so how do I prevent this?

I would really appreciate any help with this! Thank you!!!

That is weird. You cannot actually share connections between 2 different sites, even if they’re in the same multisite network.

You can, however, share a connection you’ve made on one site with all the other users on that same site. To do so, you only have to check the “Sharing” option available when making a new Publicize connection:

When you open Settings > Sharing in your dashoard on a new site in your network, you shouldn’t see any existing connection. If you do, could you let me know the site URL so I can have a closer look?
