Publicize, Google and Shortlinks

    I have a question regarding Publicize to Google+:

    Is Jetpack using the wp.me shortlink when sending the post to Google+ or the long version? I notice that it uses the shortlink on Twitter and Facebook, but I see the long version of the link on Google+. I was wondering if it is Jetpack or Google doing that.

    Background: I had to adjust the date of a post that I wrote today, and that altered the permalink in my case – the shortlink on wp.me seems to get updated so it just keeps working. On Google+ however, I had to delete and repost, losing the +1s and comments for the post.
