• Hi there, I am developing my wordpress.org right now and am preparing to switch over soon.

A few features I am confused with as compared to my wordpress.com account:

    1. Stats: do I have to manage my own stats now (like with Google Analytics) or is there a feature with wordpress.org to still track hits on my blog and individual articles?

    2. Tags: I notice there is still a place to include tags with posts. Does wordpress.com still feature .org blog posts in their tag list?

    3. Publicize: on .com I have it set to publicize new posts via facebook automatically. How do I do this with .org?

    Howdy:

    1. You can get the same WordPress.com-style stats with this plugin from the fine folks who run WordPress.com: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/
    2. No, self-hosted posts are not featured on WordPress.com.
    3. Try browsing for some plugins that will enable you to do this. Here’s an example of a search, but take some time to browse and find what’s right for you: post to facebook plugins.

Hope that helps! Let me know if it does. 🙂
