proximity weighting for search terms

    Hi and thanks for a super plugin !

    Is there a way to make Relevanssi weight results if search terms are close together.

    For example searching our site for ‘Final Cut Server’ (no speech marks) returns results I think based on the number of finals + cuts+ servers, whereas we really need it to return based on the whole phrase.

    Is there a way to do this in relevanssi ?

    No, not at the moment. Relevanssi index doesn’t store any data about the location of the terms, and calculating proximity would be too intensive to do, as the search is already a bit too slow process in many cases.

    If you need phrase search, you need to explicitly request it by searching for “final cut server” with quotes.
