Right I've hunted a few of the posts on the forum about this topic but I don't think I've found the right function to use here. I'm trying to provide a seperate RSS feed for one particular category only.

This doesn't seem to be the right one, or it could be but I'm not actually sure:

This tag keeps coming up in searches but again it seems to provide a list, I'm only interested in the feed, nothing else. Have it wrap around some text called rss feed (as as link as well) and that's it.

    Any ideas?

I also made two test posts - 1 into 'chatter', one not.
Only the correct post went into the feed.

I'm talking about being able to provide a url for someone to click, or for you to auto include as a full address.

That seems to have done it. Small minor question then, how can I provide a name for it so that it differs from the other feeds provided?

Hmmm.... you could use a little image ?

    <a href="http://www.tamba2.org.uk/T2/archives/category/chatter/feed"><img src="a little orange button with XML on it ? ></a>

That sort of thing maybe ?
I suppose the thing is not getting people to think it's a regular link ?

nah that's not what I'm thinking, but yeah I'll use something eventually :) .

When it pops up in the rss reader it just has the site name, I want it to say Broken Kode Snippets, rather than just Broken Kode.
