  • What are you concerned with someone accessing?
    I have used WP for 10+ years and never had any issues that would lead me to consider doing this.

    Yes. Last year my Joomla site got injected with a different admin password. The only reason nothing happened too my site was that the .htaccess protection on /administrator/ meant they still could not login.

    On wordpress with limitloginattempts I am getting daily (!) warnings that someone has tried “admin” for 10 times and has been locked out for 24 hours.

    So security concers me :P.
