Please recommend a plug-in or code for a simple secure area on a public site for a youth group to log into. Looking for a link to the secure area from a public site with a password to enter. Please respond asap as my site is being developed and may end up with something more complex and costly.

Seems like "Members" it exactly what is needed. It doesn't seem like there is a fee for this plugin but I will find out soon enough.

No, the plugin is free. I have used it with good success.
