   Hey there,

   i would like to add membership functionality to wordpress and create custom user roles like free, basic, premium and so on.

   I am using amember for this.

   The Problem is to prevent hotlinking on images posted for e.g under the "premium section". Only the locked in user should be able to access content realated stuff like images, videos included to a posting. If i upload a gallery where image and video content should be only visible by the premium client the pathes of images and videos are accessable to everyone and links to them could be just published for anyone who is not allowed to see this entire content.

   Try PHPMembers. You can define a redirect link for the images files if the users haven't logged in, like a blank image with the text "you must login to view the pic".
