Proper DNS and SEO ultimate for WP Multi-Site?

Hey Guys,

First off love the plugin!!! Have been really looking at your frameworks for a project I might have coming up 🙂

But I had a question with running WP multi-site, DNS and SEO…

I have built my own hosting solution and am running WP multi-site perfectly, however all the sites have the naming convention newsite.wpnetwork.com which is not ideal at all…

So I found out that if I go over to my Domain Registrar and pick the domain I want to use for the sub site actionturtle.com and set that to be forwarded with masking to my newsite.wpnetwork.com then I get exactly what I want…

If you type in actionturtle.com it really goes to “newsite.wpnetwork.com” even though in the browser it displays actionturtle.com

So I am thinking sweet job done… All I do is tell people to forward their domain name that they bought with masking to my URL and we are good to go…

But is it? My fingers are crossed that it is in fact this easy… But I know nothing in life ever is…

Does this hurt the individual SEO for the sub sites? All the sites in my network are completely separate sites that have nothing to do with each other and I would like search engines to know that so if a person search’s for something relevant to one site they don’t get links to another site or taking there accidentally because these sites are on the same network….
