proper css for drop down menu? (5 posts)

    dear friends,
    im a beginner and i have a problem with my current css drop down menu, the sub-menu is ok , but the sub-sub-menu turn out dropping downward also, instead to dropping sideways

    On line 31 you have:

    .menu-header li, div.menu li {
    float: left;
    position: relative;
    }

    Try taking out the position:relative

    I dont know then - your CSS seems overly complicated and over loaded for what you are trying to do... have a look at something like suckerfish as published here:

    http://www.alistapart.com/articles/dropdowns/

    It does not use that display:none -- display:block technique, and is easier to understand.

    Superfish Example #4 has the style of drop-down you are looking for.
