   How/where do I upload an image as a profile picture so that it show in comments?

   Will it work on other wordpress blogs or do I have to upload for each blog I comment?

   view your profile and choose edit. there is a link to gravatar.com where you can change your avatar.

   It is linked to your e-mail. So it will also work in other wordpress blogs.
