• I used the Woocommerce csv importer plugin to import 3 test products into my site http://www.therealgaccessories.com.

After importing them, I noticed that on clicking the ‘Shop’ option on the main website, the product category (which I had created earlier) was listed; on clicking on the category listing link, the sub-categories were listed, but on clicking on the links in the sub-categories page, the message ‘No products found which match your selection’ comes up.

However, when I go to the Woocommerce Products listing on my dashboard, the 3 products are listed there the way they should be.

I just feel the issue is not the import plugin, but my understanding of how the Woocommerce plugin is supposed to work.

What could be the issue here please? Thanks.

  • could be the catalog visibility (in the publish module)

    Thanks a lot bheadrick.

I opened up the catalog visibility, and the option already chosen is ‘Catalog/search’.

    Is this the issue, maybe?

    Thanks in advance!

    PS: The options are:

    Catalog/search
    Catalog
    Search, and
    Hidden

i see only a parked page when i go to the url above.

catalog/search is what you want, but it’s possible that the value isn’t being set when you import the items.

Does anything change if you open up the items and click “update”?

Do you mean opening ‘Edit Page’ option? I didn’t try that. I’d have to upload new products, as what I did was to tick the ‘Featured option, and each one I did that to appeared on the shop page.

Do you think this is the solution, or is there something else I’m supposed to do?

    Thanks a lot.

the featured option makes it featured, which is fine, but not necessary to display on the shop page.

I was suggesting you just edit the product and update it without changing anything. There may be some default values that your importer isn’t setting, and by updating the product, they will get set.

If this works, then you’ll know you need to adjust your import file to include some things – perhaps the _visibility meta field, for example.

Ok, thanks. I will try that, and try to get back to you when I have.

    Hello!
i had the similar situation: after importing products, they are invisible The stock i also imported as 1, so it’s not out of stock. Also if i press update on product, then it appears in shop.

BUT if i setup in woocommerce settings inventory “Out Of Stock Visibility” to hide, then to get it visible, i have to press update when you go to edit product.

it looks like the bug related to stock update?
    any ideas howto resolve?

Hei, i had same problem, but i found out solution, before you import csv file, in CSV file, you should set value of Visibility column to Catalog & Search, value of Product status is Publish for all items, then import accordingly, it should be successful
