    Hi there,

I am having trouble with the eshop plugin. when attempting to add a new product, it simply creates a normal post. i have followed instructions on how to go about creating products and filled in the required data, though it still appears as a normal post. Is this a known issue? Are there any general recommendations on how to avoid this?

I am using wordpress 3.5.1 with Trademark theme.

Yes, the way I proceed is as followed:

    posts - add post

Enter post name, add product content. Tick category. Enter a sku. Add product description. Add option detail and price. Then tick stock available.

Any ideas? Would it help If I setup a user for you so you can attempt it yourself to have a look?

    Thank you.

Sorry but we do not offer free site-specifc support. Are you using stock control?

All good. No not that I know of. I haven't gotten this plugin to function yet. I simply installed the plugin and followed a tutorial video showing me the basics. Now I'm trying to create products. Are there anything I should have done after installation prior to attempting to create a product which may cause this difficulty?

I'd suggest you review eShop's extensive wiki - especially Setting Up & Using eShop.
