Is there a way to hide products only in the catalog, but not in search or category pages? I am restricting the access of certain products to members within a certain role.

I have tried to select the “private” option on products, but this only allows the admin to view the private product. I have also tried adding new roles to user accounts, but I can only find “read private posts” and “read private pages”…Is there a way to select “read private products”?
