Before I start adding loads of products to my business site as posts, a question about optimum site structure and SEO.
I'm currently looking at this set up:
http://mysite.com/directory/fixed landing page1/productpost2/
I cannot put the products in the directory level, there are just too many; so this looks the best solution.
1. I'm worried about the products being too deep in the site. However, I think 3 clicks from the home page is okay? Any comments and suggestions would be most welcome.
2. I’m also concerned about the site loading too slowly. Thus my decision to have only 5 fixed landing pages, in a drop-down list under ‘directory’ and feature products as postings. I can then get useful feedback on the products themselves.
Finally, My permalinks structure will be /%post_id%/%postname%/ to facilitate loading speeds, although I’m not sure if I can put ‘numbers’ in my landing pages?
