I am setting up a new website and using Marketpress lite for the first time. I want to change the heading descriptions on the product listing page. I also want the customer to be able to chose the quantity of each item they want. How can I go about this?

  2. Hi there themama824

I hope your well today and thanks for your question.

On the heading descriptions could you clarify what you mean please? Do you mean the actual description of the page you see in your browser or something else? :)

On the quantity, when adding your product, check the "Inventory" box and enter in the amount you have, that way the customer can choose how many they want.

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

I solved one of the questions - the product headings. Let me explain the qty question better. I have a coupon clipping service. So the product is actually clipped manufacturer coupons. Normally, the customer is ordering a quantity of the item. I want them to be able to choose how many they want and then add to cart. So far, all I have been able to do is add to cart and manipulate the qty through updating the cart. I am hoping for another solution.

I have a 2nd question though. Currently the product listing is a horizontal line of information. I would prefer a horizontal row of 3-4 of the items listed with their picture and the rest of the information directly under the picture. Is this possible with the lite version?

    Thanks!!!!

  4. Hi there @themama824

    Thanks for the additional information.

Glad you got the product headings solved :)

On the other issue, on a product, there should be a quantity box, they should be able to enter the quantity and then add to cart.

For that and the display issue could I get a link to your site please, as both should be possible with the free version :)

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

I have found if they click on the product for more details, they can select quantity. But can they do it from the main product list?

  7. Hi there @themama824

Sure thing, can you send me logins to contact(at)wpmudev.org with the subject line Attn: Jack Kitterhing :)

On the quantity issue, currently you can't select that from the actual product list, though that would make a nice addition :)

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

  8. Hi there @themama824

Thanks for sending through the login info, I've taken a look, but as I'm not an admin, I can't disable the maintenance mode to check.

So on the front-end, I just get a maintenance mode is active message :)

    Could you change please?

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

It's aimed at the pro version, but is the same for the free version and any issues let me know, we're here to help :)
