Product Catalog – Cart & Checkout = sweet

Hi all,

I’m looking for a simple and elegant solution to the following problem:

My client requires a product catalog for approximately 1000 products. They do not want a full eCommerce solution. Their customers call in their orders and reference the product SKU for purchase. Has anyone had luck implementing any one of the fantastic eCommerce plugins available for WordPress without having to rely on the cart and checkout integration? My first inclination is to simply display:none the container that holds the ‘add to cart’ and remove the pages referencing the cart, account, etc. While this *may* work it would be preferable to implement a solution that supports a catalog-only mode.

Any help much appreciated. I’ve searched the forums and the google – haven’t come up with anything as of yet.
