Product and media attachment page

Hi all,

If you try to edit an image used as featured product image in your single product page and click on view attachment, you should notice a nice 404 code error, page not found! At least I hope because this is what is happening to me.

This happen only with product content type. No problem with post or pages attachment.

In my case I have permalink configured like this:

Common Settings:
Month and name

Optional:
default

Product permalink base:
Custom base: /solutions/%product_cat%

With the config above, I get something like this for my view attachment link:
sitename.xxx/solutions/product-category/product-page/featured-image-name
‎ <——————- returns 404 page error ————————->

Note: the problem disappear if you set permalink to default in common settings (!?)

Additionally, no reference is made in sitemaps for these urls but don’t feel really safe that robots can’t find it anyway.
