Process for having defective plugins removed (2 posts)

I do not know if it is just me or if other users are finding issues with plugins. If I upload 10 plugins I will find that approximately 3 - 4 are not useable. Most of the time I will deactivate them and unistall them. However the more problematic plugins I will post in the forums so hopefully other users do not run into the same problems that I have encountered.

Does anyone know if WordPress has a review process before a plugin is placed on this site or require proof that bare bones testing has been done on it? Also does anyone knows if there are issues with a plugin does WordPress pull them or is their a process to report issues so that the more problematic plugins are removed?

You are leaving out one essential piece of the puzzle -- just because a plugin doesnt work for you -- doesnt mean that the plugin is defective.

There are a whole host of issues that can affect whether or not a plugin 'works' the way the author intended on a particular wp install.

Using your other post regarding the AddThis Sidebar Widget as an example ...

you got a table error .. but if you look at the table name, its not one associated with that plugin. thats actually an error related to the feedmaster plugin.
