[resolved] problems with wp_list_categories() (2 posts)

    This is driving me nuts; I'm using wp_list_categories() in a sidebar.php. With no arguments it lists all the categories I'd expect but as soon as I add any kind of argument it shows 'no categories'.

    In the code below I include category ID 3, double checking the category exists with an echo of it's description. The description appears but the list is empty. I know I'm missing something blindingly obvios, any thoughts would be appreciated.

    wp_list_categories('include=3&hide_empty=0');
    echo category_description(3);

    OK, I've got it. I'd got category 3 under the uncategorized category and wasn't clear that I need to have this shown too. So, I needed 'include=1,3' for category 3 to show.

    Panic over
