   I am using Dreamweaver code and pasting into WordPress static page with a light coloured background, when I preview the page you can see faint blue lines from the table. I have taken off cell padding and outlines from the dreamweaver code.

   I have also tried using word tables converted into html and I do not get the effect I want.

   Is there any solution other than changing the background colour of the wordpress site?

   I am an in experienced user of wordpress

   Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.
