Problems with the_excerpt

    I’m having issue with a theme that I “created”. It consist of 4 php pages, header.php, footer.php sidebar.php and index.php.

    When i replace the_content with the_excerpt, it shows just the excerpt on the index page, however when I click on my red more link it loads a page with nothing but the excerpt.

    and and all help is greatly appreciated.

    Sounds like you might be looking for information on “single.php”. Clicking on a read more link usually opens the post in a single post page, or single.php.
