I'm running WordPress/MSSQL on Windows and thought that I had everything running just fine.
I added my first new site and I cannot access the admin section of it.
As soon as I click any link to administer the new site (https://www.domain.name/sitename/wp-admin/) I get the message:
404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
The URL seems correct - all the permissions are fine on the server - any ideas?
Also - when I bring the site up to view - it comes up without the theme.
Normally I'd say 'What's your .htaccess look like, cause it sounds like it's not set up correctly' but you said 'Windows' and IIS is weird.
What IIS version are you on? 6 or 7?

Thanks for that - I've followed that article explicitly and exactly.

no - the main site is working fine but I'm unable to get into the sub-directory site admin /its/wp-admin folder
I can get into my domain.tld/wp-admin folder just fine.
I get the:
404 – File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
Yeah, sadly my IIS skills are minimal to non-existent. I've tagged this IIS so hopefully a guru arrives!
