Problems with new installation

    I’ve been trying to update to the latest version, but keep getting this message:

    Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.1.3.zip…

    Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Unable to create file D:\Hosting\6304057\html/wp-content/wordpress-3.tmp because Permission denied in D:\Hosting\6304057\html\wp-admin\includes\file.php on line 199
    Download failed.: Could not create Temporary file.

    Installation Failed

    What should I do?

    Give Write permission to wp-content folder.
    Once done use security scanner to trace the optimum permissions so you don’t got trapped with praying eyes

    Read this line
    Unable to create file D:\Hosting\6304057\html/wp-content/wordpress-3.tmp
    Wp Update process creates that tmp file and extract them for rest of the process.The problem is tmp file is not created due to restrictions

    Give 777 for time being.

    Otherwise
    Read the error logs for more detailed information
