In general, is it unwise to have more than one photo plugin activated?
UPDATE:
I was having a plugin conflict with WP 2.8.6, when I was running the two photo plugins:
1) NextGEN Gallery 1.3.6, and
2) WordPress Gallery Slideshow
In the "Gallery" menu of the Admin Panel, the NextGEN Gallery slideshow options were not visible. There was just a question mark inside a small square icon located under the tab bar in the upper left hand corner. Once I deactivated WordPress Gallery Slideshow, all of the NextGEN options became visible and useable. Without any more trouble, I was finally able to use NextGEN, and all of it's features.
Also, when I ran NextGEN Gallery, Shadowbox JS, and WordPress Gallery Slideshow side by side, I used different features of each plugin. I used:
1) NextGEN Gallery for the "[View Pic Lens]" feature (providing both a thumbnail list below a FULL SCREEN rotating slideshow),
2) Shadowbox JS for the single image "self-click" feature, and
3) WordPress Gallery Slideshow</stong> back-up. Luckily, I was able to find all of the features I needed with NextGEN
So far, I have found it to be unwise.
Does anybody else have any success stories with multiple photo plugins?
