   Hi all!

   So I have recently started using WordPress in order to begin a new website, however i have run into many difficulties. The first problem I have encountered, is not being able to update my WordPress to a newer version. When i try, it bring me to a blank screen and seems to just quit. Also when trying to add a plugin, or install a theme, it does the same thing. I'm not sure if I am supposed to have something installed in order to continue these updates/installations but I would appreciate any information.

   Have you tried:

   - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

   - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

   Then carrying out an upgrade (after a database backup, of course).
