Problems with domain forwarding, subdomains and my permalinks... (1 post)

A friend has an e-commerce site setup through Yahoo!'s ecommerce system. The site is setup at the domain name "www.ORIGINAL.com" (example). Later he purchased domain name "www.NEW.com". In his Yahoo! Control panel he has http://www.NEW.com forwarding to http://www.ORIGINAL.com. So people can now view the site at http://www.NEW.com.

They want a blog setup at http://www.NEW.com. Yahoo! has a quick WordPress install option in the control panel. I used it and installed the site at http://www.ORIGINAL.com/blog. I was hoping that I could now access the blog at http://www.NEW.com/blog but it doesn't work.

I also tried to setup a subdomain of "blog.NEW.com" and set it to point to "www.ORIGINAL.com/blog". It works for the blog homepage, but all my permalinks still point to "ORIGINAL.com" instead of "NEW.com". If I make any changes to my WordPress url settings things just start breaking.

I don't have a lot of experience with url forwarding, sub domains, Yahoo!'s system, or WordPress, haha, so it's difficult to tell if I'm doing something wrong or if I'm trying to do something that isn't possible with Yahoo!'s setup. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas that would be great.
