Problems with database selection

    Please help!
    I’ve got the following error:

    “Can’t select database

    We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the criaweb_wordpress database.”

    Actually this database doesn’t exist, so i tryed to create a new DB according this link:

    There are some code lines that must be placed in any text editor, right? So how should i save this file? “wordpress.???”
    what’s the file extension?

    Depends on your host and what they’re using for backend software. I know with CPanel, when you create a new database with the name of wordpress, it will change it into username_wordpress.

    Best bet would be to ask yoru jhost for assistance on this one.

    As far as I know, there’s nothing you need to be putting into a text file. The tables are created upon installation of the software.
