    How can I get my content background to finish without cutting off the stars?

    See screenshot:

    My code for the container part is:

    #container {

    	width: 850px;

            background: url(/images/content.png) top center repeat-y;

    	margin: 0 auto;

    	color:#A79C8E;

    }

    Can anyone help with this?

    The URL is http://www.shedreamsbig.com if that helps trying to figure out why the problem is occurring.

    Short answer: you can't.

    It's not a "problem". The browser is displaying the background exactly as you have asked. The issue you have is that you cannot pre-determine the length of any random web page, so you cannot fix the height of the container in such as way that you do not 'clip' a star here or there.

    luxechandelier,

    Because the height is always an unknown factor it's difficult to gauge how this could be accomplished. Unless you specifically made the page height taller in all circumstances.
