I put an Amazon Wishlist widget (just a piece of javascript generated at https://widgets.amazon.co.uk/) in my sidebar, but I’ve encountered a strange problem. The widget seems to stretch the length of the sidebar, pushing all the rest of my links etc down below the blog itself.
My blog is at http://www.whynotburnbooks.com – theme is a simple variation on Kubrick, with the width expanded.
Apparently other people have had this problem. It’s not a fault with the widget, but with WordPress itself. Also, the sidebar displays normally in IE, but not in Chrome or Firefox. Does anyone have any suggestions? Would it be advisable to create a table in my sidebar.php, and place the script for the widget inside that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Anyone?

I can’t see an Amazon widget on the link you provided….

If you can tell me why that is i’ll take a look, but as it is, i can’t see an amazon widget…

It’s on my sidebar, under the title ‘reading list’. I was trying to edit last night, so may have taken it off temporarily when you looked.

Btw. I should add that this problem seems to be specific to Kubrick. The other themes I’ve tried seem to display the widget without any problems. However, I’d rather not have to redesign my whole blog from scratch!

Thanks for your time – let me know if you have any suggestions…

WIthout seeing waht happens it’s anyones guess.

Likely a position, float or clear issue..

I’d check the widget and CSS code related to it….

hmmmm… after experimenting a bit, i think kubrick is more trouble than it’s worth, for my purposes. i’ve generated a new theme, and the widget works fine with it. thanks though!
