Problems with 404 pages (1 post)

    I have WP installed as a multisite.. the subsites(?) are setup via subdirectories not subdomains.

    404 page shows up fine on the primary domain when a none existant page is typed in

    on the subsite, it doesnt resolve to anything and simply shows my static homepage for the subsite, whenever an incorrect page url is typed in.

    Not sure what i need to be doing to correct this
